We LOVE our community!

All of us at Southbridge Savings Bank believe in giving back. By sharing our time and resources, we hope to do even a little bit more to make life better for everyone in the cities and towns where we live. Here's how we've been spreading the love recently:

Supporting local groups

Through donations and sponsorships, we’ve helped numerous non-profit organizations provide vital services and raise awareness about important community needs. If you’d like more information, or wish to volunteer or make your own contributions, just click on the links for each group.

2015 Community Support

Jacob Edwards Library

We were proud to donate the funds for the Jacob Edwards Library to purchase an AWE Early Literacy Station. This bilingual system is designed for 2- to 8-year-old children and is ideal for teaching computer skills at an early age. A goal of the computer is to reach the underserved segment of the community and not only introduce important skills, but make a connection between learning and fun.

Family Health Center of Worcester

The FHCW improves the health and well-being of underserved, low-income, and culturally diverse residents by providing accessible, high-quality, comprehensive primary care, dental care, and social services to individuals and families in the Greater Worcester County area, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.

Charlton REAS Foundation, Inc.

The Residential Energy Assistance for Seniors (REAS) Foundation is built upon the belief that the greatness of a community is based on its compassion, contributions, and care for its most vulnerable members. Southbridge Savings Bank was proud to contribute to Charlton REAS Foundation’s efforts to assist Charlton seniors with energy costs over the extremely harsh winter.

Dudley-Charlton Education Foundation

The DCEF promotes continued educational excellence by strengthening community support and by funding programs that encourage innovation and enrichment throughout the district. Southbridge Savings Bank is proud to help DCEF prepare the district’s students for success in higher education and careers at a time of challenging economic conditions and ever-increasing global competition.

Tenacity, Inc.

This program provides a solution for parents in the Worcester community who struggle to provide their children with positive ways to stay physically and academically active during the summer. Southbridge Savings Bank is happy to help contribute to Tenacity’s mission, which includes free summer tennis and reading programs.

Family Farm Fest at Old Sturbridge Village

Southbridge Savings Bank is proud to sponsor the first-ever Family Farm Fest at Old Sturbridge Village. Highlights of the festival, which takes place during school vacation week, include hayrides, dozens of baby animals, youth “Farm Olympics” games, and live bluegrass music. It’s wholesome, family-oriented fun for all ages!

Giving our time to our neighbors

There’s never a bad time to learn how to manage your personal finances. Southbridge Savings Bank regularly reaches out to help foster this important life skill in area young people and adults.
